Hey guys,

long time no see ๐Ÿ™‚ Today I took some time to re-organize my vanity. I have the “Malm” vanity from ikea and it kind of has been a mess in the last few months. The bins I used to organize it just didn’t really fit all my makeup anymore. So I looked online for ideas on how to organize it and found this videoย on Youtube. It’s made by a German Youtuber called KindOfRosy. And she found the best way to organize the drawer of the Malm vanity I’ve ever seen! She uses three IKEA products which unite to the perfect way of organizing ๐Ÿ™‚ The bins on the left and the right of the drawer are called “Antonius” and cost 2,99 โ‚ฌ each. The three bins in the middle – which can be arranged in two layers – come in a set called “Gormorgon”. The set of three costs 9,99 โ‚ฌ. Thanks, KindOfRosy, for the great idea! I totally stole it from you ๐Ÿ™‚

The acrylic drawer set on the top of my vanity is from Muji, the acrylic lipstick-holder is from VitaDisplays. The mirror with the golden frame is from Tschibo, and I got the LED makeup mirror from Amazon. The lamp is from TKMaxx. So yeah, I hope you like my pictures, if you have questions about anything, feel free to ask ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, by the way, my palettes were not on the vanity when I took the pictures. I’m still waiting for a white napkin holder, in which I’ll put all my palettes, to come in the mail.

Guys, don't judge, I tried really hard to keep my hands steady enough to get a panoramic picture of the drawer for you ;)

ImageYesterday I went on a trip to girly heaven – a store called kosmetik4less. It’s actually an online shop, but they also have a store in Rosengarten near Hamburg. As soon as I found out about that, I asked two friends who love cosmetics just as much as I do and went on a train to Rosengarten.

Here’s what I got!

Image

Image

First thing I got is a brush set from Real Techniques called the duo-fiber collection. It includes three limited edition brushes:

  • duo-fiber face brush: for lightweight application
  • duo-fiber contour brush: for controlled contouring and sculpting
  • duo-fiber eye brush: for finishing touches to the eye

The synthetic bristles are cruelty free and work with any types of products – creamy, powdery or liquid. They feel so soft! These are my first real techniques brushes and I’m really excited to try them out ๐Ÿ™‚

ImageNext thing I got is this creamy duo eyeshadow by Sleek. It’s called Molten Metal and I got it in the color 714 (on the left: Pewter, on the right: Gold Leaf). The pigmentation is AMAZING!! They almost look like gold foil on your eyelids – I’m in love ๐Ÿ™‚ Here’s a swatch (which is not complete true to color unfortunalety, sorry about that):ย Image

Speaking of Sleek: I bought another eyeshadow palette ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s the i-Diving palette “ultra mattes V2 – darks”.ย ImageImage

Then I got the “Knot Free Flare Short Black” lashed by lenilash and the DUO Individual Lash Adhesice to attach them to my eyelids.ย Image

Here’s what they look like when I put them on on my upper lash line:Image

Next thing I bought are two pencils by BarryM. ImageOne of them is the Shimmering Eye and Lip Crayon in the color 1. It makes a great base for eyeshadows! It comes off in a very light kind of creamy-golden color – it looks gorgeous. Even though this crayon can be used on your lips as well, I don’t think this color would be very suitable for that ๐Ÿ™‚ The other one is a white kohl pencil. I’m very picky when it comes to the consistency of kolh pencils when I plan to apply them on my waterline… But this one is so easy to apply! It’s very creamy and so easy to put on, I’m very pleased ๐Ÿ™‚

The next and last thing I got are two nail polishes.Imageย The red one by BarryM has a matt finish to it. I’ve already tried it, it’s very easy to apply, you only need one layer because it covers really really well and it dries amazingly fast! I got it in the color 2 – Crush.

The other nail polish is the color “All a flutter” from the line “On the horizon” by China Glaze. It is basically a clear nail polish with little light-blue, yellow and white sprinkles in it. It is kind of cute when you put it on – but to be honest, I don’t really know when or where to wear this. It kind of reminds me of cupcakes though – so I might invite some friends over to bake cookies and cupcakes and cookies and I’ll probably wear it for that ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was a very spontaneous purchase – just because I was curious ๐Ÿ™‚

Well guys – that’s it! Wow, that was a lot of stuff. To give you a impression of what my friends and I bought alltogether, we unpacked all our purchases in the restaurant we went to afterwards – people around us were kind of amused and the waitress asked if she might come with us the next time ๐Ÿ˜‰ So to sum it up: we had a fun and very girly day ๐Ÿ™‚

Being a little sensitive plant

Hey guys!

Today I want to tell you about a new product I found last week while browsing through one of my favourite drugstores. Now, I’ve never been too picky about make-up remover as I always thought every single one I would ever purchase was going to irritate the skin around my eyes.

I know better now!! I got the Diadermine High Tolerance Cleansing Gel / Make up remover. This is seriously the most gentle stuff I’ve ever put on a cotton pad. I literally don’t feel anything, the thin skin around my eyes does not get irritated at all, there’s no redness – just nothing. And it removes my eye make up really well! To be honest I haven’t tried it on waterproof make up though, so let me know if you’ve tried that out ๐Ÿ™‚
You can use it all over your face, it’s a full face cleansing gel as well.
There’s no parabens, silicone or perfume in it so even if you have allergies, your skin should be fine. It wasn’t that expensive either, I think I paid under 5โ‚ฌ for it (4,99 I guess).

There’s a total of 6 products available from the Diadermine High Tolerance series and I’m really tempted to go out and try some more of them.

Let me know if you’ve tried anything else and if you liked it or not!

๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and by the way, this is my honest opinion, I bought the product myself and am not in any way affiliated with or sponsored by Diadermine or any other brands!

Nivea Lip Butters

Nivea Lip Butters

I’m so happy! Today I finally found the time to go into the Nivea Flagship Store in Hamburg to get my hands on the new Niveau Lip Butters. I’ve heard about them on the internet for quite a while now, but even if I live in the city the Beiersdorf headquarter is located in, it wasn’t possible to get them here in Germany.

Finally they are available now! So far you can only get them onlineย and in the flagship stores calles “Nivea Houses”. Good thing they have one in Hamburg!

The Lip Butters come in 4 different scents, Original, Raspberry Rosรฉ, Caramel Cream and Vanilla Macadamia (who sees what happened on the sign? ;)) I thought “Original” would smell like the typical Nivea Creme, but to be honest, it doesn’t smell like much at all. The other scents basically are named pretty accurately: “Caramel Cream” smells like, well, caramel. As I’m not a very big fan of caramel, I didn’t buy that one. The two lip butters I couldn’t help but buying right away are “Raspberry Rose” (mmmmhhhhhhh!!!!!! Smells like an awesome raspberry smoothie!) and “Vanilla Macadamia”, which actually reminds me a little bit of white chocolate. I am already obsessed with these two products!

They actually don’t have a taste (maybe just a little, but very very subtle), which I like a lot. If lip products have a strong taste it kind of bothers me to use them right before or after eating and drinking…

The Lip Butters retail for โ‚ฌ2,69 which seems to be a very fair price as the product is quite rich, you don’t need to use much of it to make your lips feel awesome! They nourish your lips with shea butter and almond oil. Just use your fingers to apply a small amound on your lips, it makes them feel smooth and moisturized for a good while without getting that typical feeling of “I-need-to-apply-even-more-lipcare-product-right-now” (can anyone relate to that?).

All in all, the Lip Butters are totally worth the excitement I feel for them! Definitely a favourite already ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you think about them?

Jolifin, Nagellackversiegler, nail polish, OPI, Top Coat, UV

I know, the title is so promising! I’ll try to keep up with it ๐Ÿ˜‰

You guys, last December I have discovered something that has literally changed my life when it comes to painting my nails.

ImageIt is a clear top coat by the brand Jolifin called “U.V.-Lichthรคrtender Nagellackversiegler”. You can use it with any nail polish you like, just like your regular top coat. The only difference to a normal top coat is that it needs to dry in ultraviolet light. It drys within about 5 minutes, literally, you can do everything afterwards! From putting on your favourite jeans over doing your hair to searching for something in your purse…

All you need to do is apply your base coat and one or two layers of your favourite color just as you usually do (no need to wait for them to dry). Then you cover the color with the top coat and place your hand in a UV nail lamp for about 5 minutes. Make sure not to look at the UV-light directly or use sunglasses to protect your eyes! Tadaa, that’s it! Go on with your regular life!ย Image

From my experience I have to say that the top coat doesn’t really prevent the nails from chipping any better that other good quality top coats do… But it’s way faster to redo a chipped nail or your whole fingers now! From start to finish it takes me about 15-20 minutes.

At first I was worried if the top coat would come off with regular nail polish remover… Guess what: it does! Yay!

Okay I guess you’ve kind of gotten an idea about my excitement ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got my polish at PrettyNailShop24ย but I’m not trying to advertise their site or anyting, I’m sure you can get polish like that at various stores and nail salons. Still, this stuff is amazing!

Hello everyone,

as most of you will probably know by now, I’m staying in another city (Leipzig) for 3 weeks this month. I rented a small room in a shared appartment. And by small room, I mean small room ๐Ÿ™‚ Not to say… it’s tiny ๐Ÿ™‚ Well, unlike when I’m really travelling I was able to carry basically as much stuff as I wanted. I rented a car and so I didn’t have to worry about fitting all my stuff into bags and suitcases. But still I had to limit myself as least a little bit in terms of what to bring. I wanted to quickly tell you which things I though I should bring.

ImageSorry about the bad lighting guys. The sunlight doesn’t directly fall into the room and the lamp on the ceiling makes a very dim light. Anyways, I think you should be able to see everything ๐Ÿ™‚

This shelf and a clothes rail are all I have for my stuff, that’s why everything’s so crowded. The two boxes you can see in the middle of the picture are stackable and you can close the top one with a lid, so that’s what I usually do to gain some space.

On the left you see some of my jewelry. I really didn’t bring a whole lot, I limited myself mostly to things that fit into the little pouch you can see in the background. I got that at TK Maxx last year and loooove it! It is covered with little rhinestones!

Next to that (in the back row) you see my haircare and -styling products, creams, and perfume. From left to right I have the L’Oreal Ever Pure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque. I’ve got the shampoo from that series as well, but that’s standing in the shower. I really like these products, they’re sulfate-free and smell like herbs. Mhhh! Next to that you see my hairspray. It’s just the Taft “Glatt & Glossy” with medium hold. I like it, got nothing special to say about it. Next to that is my oh so loved “Helping Hands” by Lush. This hand cream is a-ma-zing! It gives instant moisture to your skin without leaving a yucky residue… Love it!! Next thing is a volumizing powder by Taft. For a long time I hated this product, I even thought about throwing it away until I went to the hairdresser one day and told her about it. She asked me how I used it, I explained and she told me I had been using it the wrong way! Duuh… Ever since she showed me how to use it correctly I really really like using this product! I’ll write you a little tutorial on how to do it if anyone is interested – just let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ The bigger green bottle holds my L’Oreal Serie Expert Volume Expand shampoo. Yes, it does give volume, but it also tends to dry out my hair a little. That’s why I don’t use it on a daily basis.ย The white porcelain jar with the flowers on it is from Ikea. I keep my hair ties, clips, bobby pins etc. in there. Nothing too exciting really. Next to that you can (actually not really) see my Kanebo Sensai Silk Emulsion. I’m so satisfied with this! Ever since my cosmetician has recommended this for my skin, it has improved so much! So obviously this was a must-bring product! On the far right side you can see two products from John Frieda. One is the “Tรคgliche Wunderkur”, a stay-in conditioner that I use regularly. It also serves as heat protection. The other one is a styling foam for creating curls which – to be honest – I haven’t tried yet. I bought it here in Leipzig but haven’t gotten around to curling my hair yet. Between the two is one of the perfumes I’m using right now, “Sport” by Jil Sander. I have other perfumes with me but those are only samples.

In the boxes are all my make up essencials. I’m not going to go through every single one of them, you’re getting the point I guess. My Naked 2 palette, two matte eyeshadows by MAC, brushes, my Sleek Face Form palette, lip glosses, lipsticks, mascaras, Urban Decay Primer Potion, fixing powder and an eyebrow pencil. The pot next to it with the pink lid is the foundation I’ve been using for a very long time now as an every-day foundation. It’s the L’Oreal Matte Morphose in the shade 110, Ivory Rose. The coverage is light to medium and it feels really good on my face. It stays put even on very long days. Fot going out at night I usually use liquid foundations, but this one was enough for my stay in Leipzig. Well, I guess that’s about it! As you can see I brought a magnifying morror with an LED on top which is perfect for plucking eyebrows. You also see my round brush with boar bristles, I also brought a paddle brush. And, last but not least, my Burt’s Bees Acai Berry lip balm.

This was a lot of information ๐Ÿ™‚ If you have any questions on the products or what I use them for – feel free to ask! Have a great rest of the week!

I received my Glossybox this week! Let me give you a quick overview of the products that came in it this month:

First thing I got was this Concealer by the brand Cosline. The color is No. 965. To be quite honest I have never heard of this brand before,ย it is made in Germany and I’m very

Cosline Concealerhappy to try it! The concealer is supposed to match every skintone as soon as you apply it, as far as I know the color I got is the only one they have for concealers. I have only applied it once so far, it actually matched my skintone and the consistency felt nice. I will keep you updated about how I like it ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this about Glossybox and other services, you get to tryย out things that you possibly wouldn’t have learned about otherwise.

Find the concealer online on www.cosline.de

Lavera Eyelinerย Next thing I got is a Soft Eyeliner by LAVERA in black. It it double ended, one end is the eyeliner – obviously – and the other end holds a little sponge for smudging your eyeliner to create a smokey eye look. LAVERA uses very natural ingredients for their products. I think especially if you like lining your waterline or anything very close to the eyes natural products are always a good choice!

You can find the eyeliner online by clicking here.

You guys know I love Lush. So what else can I say, Iย was very happy to find

Lush Massagebutter

this Lush “Each Peach” massage bar in my Glossybox. I have never tried these massage bars but I’m excited to do so!

Find out more about is here.

Rene Furterer Okara ShampooRouge Bunny Lidschatten

I also got a shampoo by Renรฉ Furterer Okara. It’s called “Active light” and is made for highlighted hair especially. That comes in quite handy as I do have blonde highlights. I haven’t tried this yet so unfortunately I can’t tell you anything about it just yet.

You can find the product here.

The last one of the regular 5 products you get was this eyeshadow by “Rouge Bunny Rouge” in the color “Mountain bluebird”. I’m not very much into blueish eyeshadows but I’m always very happy to receive make up items in my Glossybox so I’ll definitely give it a try!

Find them online here!

Last but not least there was a 6th product – yay! Eyelashes! They are labeled with “Glossybox” so I cannot tell you which brand they are originally from. Glossybox has been puting things like that in their boxes for a while now – so far I got a blush brush, I heating pillow for your coat pocket, a blush etc. Love that!

Merry Christmas to everyone! Only a few days to go!Wimpern

Lush “Mask of Magnaminty”

Image

Hey everyone,

some of you might have seen my post about about my beauty related birthday presents. One of those presents is the “Mask of Magnaminty” by Lush. Well, this weekend I’ve found the time to finally try it out!

The description on the back tells you to apply it on your face (or body, according to Lush it is very good for the skin on your back as well!), let it dry on the surface (not all the way through) and then rinse it off with some water. I let it dry for about 10 minutes and for me, that seemed to be just the right time!

I’ve told you before that the mask kind of smells like the impression compound dentists use. It has a minty kind of clay scent to it. It took me a minute to get used to it, but now I actually find it quite appealing!

The mask feels very fresh and cooling on your skin, the effect compares a little bit to chewing menthol chewing gum. It does not cause an uncomfortable feeling of tension on your skin!

Rinsing the mask off with warm water and your hands is quite easy. Just be prepared for a little greeen goo in your sink ๐Ÿ™‚

My skin felt really fresh and clean after using the mask. I’m quite sure my skin looked smoother than before, my pores were minimized and the little wrinkles on my forehead (yes, guys, I’m 26…) looked smoother as well! My skin looked just bright, youthful and healthy. Even before applying my usual face cream my face didn’t have any feeling of tension at all, which is quite unusual for me as very often cleansing masks leave my skin to be very dry.

After all I can really really recommend this product, I’m so happy with it and will definitely repurchase it!

It was my birthday last week and I would like to show you some (beauty related) goodies I got from my family, friends and myself. Yes, I do like to present myself with something I’ve really wanted for a while on special occasions ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks to everyone! I got so many beautiful presents this year, but the best present was that so many people came by to celebrate with me, thank you!!

Okay, here we go!

First thing I got is this Remington “Pro big curl” curling iron with a 38mm barrel. I’ve used this while getting ready for my birthday party and absolutely loved it!ย Image

It creates very soft, natural looking curls, I personally like to curl my hair away from my face for that summery beach look. It’s not easy to create crisp curls that stay for a long time in my hair though, I’m still on the lookout for a good product that will help my hair hold the curls better and also protect it from the heat of the iron. If you have any tips for me, please let me know in the comments below!

ImageNext thing I got is this awesome powder spray from J.S. Douglas Sรถhne. It’s a golden sparkling scented powder spray that I will definitely apply on my dรฉcolletรฉ, hair or legs for Christmas or New Years Eve. It smells amazing, just powdery, soft and very feminine. A friend of mine chose this for me because she said it seamed it had my name written all over it in capital letters ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks so much! At my party we started spraying each other with and felt like princesses. The thing I love about the most is probably the applicator. It looks so vintage! Once the flacon is empty I will try to fill it up with perfume or something.

I especially asked for two Lush products, the “Helping Hands” hand cream and the “Mask of Magnaminty”.

My best friend has the “Helping Hands”ย in her bathroom at all times and every time I visit herย I love, love, love using it!
Image
One day, when she asked me if I had a birthday wish, I told her about my having fallen in love with this cream and she actually went out to buy one for me ๐Ÿ˜€ Yay for that! It it really rich and nurturing, just right for cold winter days that make your skin dry out really easy.

I have seen the “Mask of Magnaminty” in a beauty haul on youtube and have really wanted to try it out ever since so I put this on my wishlist as well and got it from another friend. Tonight is the perfect night (I’m home alone, very cozy, about to take a bath after finishing this blogpost) to give it a try! I’ll tell you what I think about it! The scent is very distinct, reminds me of going to the dentist’s actually ๐Ÿ™‚

ImageNow let’s get to some goodies ย I got for myself!

I have been wanting the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for a long time now. Same thing goes for the Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Now, the problem is that Urban does not sell on the German market so I had to order it online. A friend of mine from the U.S. told me about a website that offers worldwide free shipping AND sells Urban Decay, so I had to try that out! It actually worked PLUS I got a 20% discount because of black friday. A few days later my package arrived and I was very happy ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll link the webside for you along with other links at the end of this blogpost.Image

Another thing I have been hearing so much about on blogs and youtube are the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters. As Revlon doesn’t sell in Germany either (seriously, what is this about??), I had to order those online as well. I got them on ebay.

I bought them in the colors “Peach Parfait” and “Berry Smoothie” and YES, I do understand the hype about those products! They feel so smooth on the lips, like lip balm, and the colors are so subtle, yet so beatiful! I am totally tempted to order even more colors online.

Last but not least I got gift cards, too! One of them was for “Douglas” which is a huge German beauty shop. I went there today and chose the Artdeco “Fixing Powder” and a BEAUTIFUL nail polish by ANNY in the color “Jogging Date” which is a very pretty reddish kind of pink shade with a little bit of shimmer. Love it!ย ImageThe other gift card is one that I’m very excited to redeem, it’s a gift card for a great Spa/Wellness day with my boyfriend. I’m so much looking forward to that!

Well, again, thanks to everyone but those great gifts and, above all, for being with me on my birthday and making it a very special day for me!

I wish all of you a happy second Sunday of Advent tomorrow, I hope all of you, wherever you are, will have a peaceful and nice day ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you guys already have snow as well?

Bye Bye and thanks for reading ๐Ÿ™‚
